My Mind Ain't So Open

Performed live on the Mark Radcliffe Show (presented that night by Mark Lamarr, and of course Lard) on 11/5/94. Whereabouts of the master tape currently unknown, but if it can be located, we intend to release at least a couple of the tracks at some point. Meanwhile, various people are hawking tapes of it on the net if you want to hear it.

Ed's Birthday Present was going to be re-recorded as a single; then our label ran into problems and our plans were suspended. Happy Tincture is one of our best recordings. Those BBC engineers really know their stuff. My Mind Ain't So Open is a cover of a Magazine B-side. The interview with Tammy is very funny.

There have been two semi-acoustic Linus radio sessions: one for London station RTM in 1994, and one for Armed Forces Radio in 1996. There was also an interview for the BBC World Service, but we can't remember when that was.
Melody Maker Phoenix Festival
(1994)
A live version of Adolesce, recorded at the Phoenix festival in 1994, appeared on a free, mail-order-only tape released by Melody Maker, but we were never given a copy. We have since acquired a recording of it- you can listen to it on the live page.

You might be interested to know that because the original tape was so poor - the guitar was completely inaudible - we overdubbed a guitar using our 4-track without telling them.
